It is our distinct honor and pleasure to invite you to the 16th Croatian Congress on Epilepsy, which will take place in
Zagreb from April 20 to 22, 2026, at the Hotel Aristos.
The main topics of this year’s congress are:

The official languages of the Congress are Croatian and English. Simultaneous interpretation will not be provided.
CME Accreditation
The Croatian Medical Chamber will award continuing medical education (CME) credits for participation in the Congress.

Registration is completed via the online application. All participants will receive a confirmation of participation to the email address used for registration (participant’s email).
Congress Registration Fees
Physicians and Pharmacists – 500,00 € + VAT
Nurses and Medical Technicians – 100,00 € + VAT
Exhibitors and Sponsors – 300,00 € + VAT
The registration fee includes:
- Attendance at the scientific programme and exhibition area
- Congress materials (final programme and electronic abstract book)
- Participation in all additional activities included in the official Congress programme
Amendments to Services, Name Changes, and Invoices
Changes to a registered participant’s name (including accreditation details) and modifications to booked services may be made free of charge until March 30, 2026.
After March 30, 2026, any name change will be subject to an administrative fee of €50.00 per change.
Invoice amendments will be subject to an administrative fee of €50.00 per change. Participants are therefore kindly requested to ensure accuracy and completeness of all submitted information at the time of registration.
Use of Personal Data
Personal data collected through registration for the 16th Croatian Congress on Epilepsy (CCE) may be considered personal data within the meaning of applicable data protection legislation and are processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016) and the Croatian Act on the Implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation. Personal data submitted through the Congress registration form (hereinafter: the Registration Form) are securely stored in the database of Btravel d.o.o., Cebini 33, Zagreb, OIB: 50368883612 (hereinafter: the Agency). By registering, each participant confirms that their personal data may be processed for the purpose of organizing the Congress. Failure to provide the requested personal data in the Registration Form will make it impossible to complete registration and participate in the Congress. The Agency collects, processes, and stores personal data on behalf of the Congress Organizer, who acts as a joint controller of personal data. The data will be collected and processed exclusively for the purpose of fulfilling rights and obligations arising from your registration and participation in the Congress, including issuance of registration fee invoices. By registering, participants acknowledge that they have been informed of their right to request, at any time, access to their personal data, rectification or erasure of personal data, restriction of processing, and the right to data portability from the joint controllers. The joint controllers and the Agency, acting as data processor, implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure that personal data are protected against unauthorized access, misuse, disclosure, loss, or destruction. Personal data will be treated as confidential and will not be disclosed or transferred to third parties, nor used for purposes other than those specified in the Registration Form. The Agency, as data processor, may transfer personal data to authorized recipients solely for the purpose of fulfilling rights and obligations arising from participation in the Congress.

Guidelines for Writing Abstracts
- Abstracts must be submitted in both Croatian and English (foreign participants submit the abstract in English only).
- Names and surnames of authors/co-authors, affiliations, and the title are not included in the word count of the abstract.
- Write the name of the presenting author in CAPITAL LETTERS.
- Write authors’ and co-authors’ names without academic titles.
- State the official name and address of the institution(s) of the author(s) and co-author(s) in English.
- Numerically link the author(s) and the institution(s).
- Provide the e-mail address of the first author.
- Abstracts will not be proofread. Authors are responsible for linguistic and content accuracy.
- Maximum length: 350 words in Croatian and 400 words in English. At the end, include key words (max 3) relevant to the work.
- Abstract structure: 1) introduction, 2) methods, results / case presentation, 3) conclusion.
Abstracts of Lectures
- Lecture abstracts do not need to follow a specific format; they should follow the structure of the lecture.
- Submission of a lecture abstract is not mandatory. If a lecture abstract is not submitted, it cannot later be recognized as a presentation at a professional or scientific meeting.
- Plenary lecture abstract – maximum 1,200 words
- Short presentation abstract – maximum 300 words

Posters
Poster instructions:
- Please prepare posters in Croatian or English (foreign participants submit in English only).
- At the top of the poster, include: title, names of authors and co-authors, mentor(s), affiliation, specialist focus, and correspondence address.
- Poster dimensions must be 1920×1080 pixels (landscape format).
- Please do not use fonts smaller than 10pt. Recommended fonts: Arial, Courier New, Georgia, Helvetica, Times, Times New Roman.
- File size must be less than 20 MB.
- The poster must contain ONLY ONE slide showing the entire content of the poster.
- Only one poster per abstract is allowed.
- The poster should follow the structure of the paper.
- Photos must be clear and sharp; images should be numbered.
- Posters must be submitted no later than March 15, 2026.
Poster Abstracts
- Poster abstract – case report: maximum 300 words; format: introduction, case report, conclusion, key words (maximum 3).
- Poster abstract – original research: maximum 300 words; format: introduction, methods, results, conclusion, key words (maximum 3).
* Each poster must be sent by the same person who submitted/registered the abstract.
