POREČ

Poreč is a popular summer resort on the coast of the Istrian Peninsula in western Croatia. The town of Poreč/Parenzo is almost 2,000 years old, and is set around a harbour protected from the sea by the small island of Sveti Nikola/San Nicola (Saint Nicholas). Situated on the western coast of Istria and cooled by sea breezes, the local climate is relatively mild and free of oppressive summer heat. The town’s population of approximately 12,000 resides mostly on the outskirts.

Dvorana Žatika

Žatika Hall is big, multifunctional hall built for handball World Championship 2009. It consists of two halls – larger and smaller – and a gym. The larger one’s dimensions are 52×48,6 m, and it has 1898 spectator seats, with extra 1260 seats if needed, which makes it suitable for both basketball trainings and matches. It also has 4 big locker rooms with private showers, and 4 smaller locker rooms. Smaller hall has 213 m2 and gym 86 m2, and both are suitable for fitness trainings. All halls are heated, air-conditioned, and with parquet.

Molindrio is a 4* hotel with mini fitness center, conference hall and wellness center. Hotel has 265 rooms, 2 outdoor freshwater pools, children’s pool and pool bar.

Istra is a 3* hotel within Zelena Laguna Resort. The hotel has 192 rooms and suites with satellite TV, phone with direct calling and refrigerator. In front of the hotel there is also a 18 × 8 × 1,75 m freshwater outdoor pool, as well as children’s pool.

Delfin is a 2* hotel just 5km from the Poreč city centre. It has 794 rooms – single, twin and family. It lies 50 m from the beach and also offers outdoor saltwater pool (314m2). It is located within walking distance from Intersport Sports Hall, and only 6 minutes by vehicle from Žatika Sports hall.

AQUAPARK – ISTRALANDIA

This interesting aquatic world stretches over 81.000 m2, it is only five kilometres away from the coast and has a great geostrategic location at the exit of the Istrian Ypsilon highway (exit Nova Vas), between Novigrad and Brtonigla.

ROMAN AMPHITHEATRE IN PULA

The Pula Amphitheater or Arena is one of the six largest Roman amphitheaters in the world. Erected in the 1st century during the reign of Emperor Vespasian, it was primarily used for gladiator fights in front of 20,000 spectators.

NATIONAL PARK BRIJUNI

Proclaimed as National Park: 1983 area: 33,9 km2 14 islands and islets entry points: by boat from Fažana or by own boat. Main attractions: Zoo, Boathouse interpretation and education centre, dinosaur footprints, archaeological sites activities: cycling, golf, tennis, bocce, electric vehicle rides, swimming, snorkeling.
